Your Account
What is "My Account"?
To take advantage of some of the cool features at nerdbooks.com, and to order books, you must Register. We will NOT send you unwanted emails or share your information with anyone for any reason (see privacy policy). Once registered and "logged on", the "Me, Myself & I" section on our Home Page offers several links to provide information specific to your interests.
Wish List
When you find a book you're interested in but don't necessarily wish to purchase it, just add the book to your Wish List. This link is always immediately under the "Buy Now" button to the right of a featured book. Wish Lists are useful for birthdays or any other special day.
Order Tracking
After placing an order, you may click on this link ("Order Tracking" within the "Me, Myself, and I" section) to see exactly where your shipment is at any time. Please bear in mind that it takes several hours after the shipment has left our facility for this information to appear on the US Postal Service or DHL sites. You may wish to wait until the day after the order is sent to check tracking.
Your Email Address
Your email and password enable us to know who you are. They enable you to log on and get information specific to your needs.
Changing Your Email or Password
Your Email or Password may be altered by you first logging on. Then go to "Me, Myself, & I" and click on the "Change User Preferences" link.
Email Notifications
In this section, you can completely customize your email experience with us. Should you not check any of the boxes listed, you'll only receive a rare, general email from us about topics that affect our entire customer base. At the time of this writing, we offer email notifications for:
New Book Arrivals (specific subject areas)
New Book Arrivals from O'Reilly or WROX Press
You may also choose the frequency with which you want to receive these emails (once per week, every two weeks, once per month). One of our primary objects is to not alienate customers by sending unwanted email(s)!
Removing Your Name from Our List
If you wish to be removed completely, please contact us, and we'll gladly do it. If you choose this option, you won't hear from us again - not even general announcements. However, if you simply wish to not receive emails of a specific type, then log on, and click on "Email Notifications". Uncheck any boxes that you feel are undesirable.
